Meningiomas are the third most common type of brain and spinal cord tumor.
When cancer cells are found in either the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord (meninges) or the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), it is called leptomeningeal metastases (LM). At the Brain and Spine Tumor Center, our multidisciplinary team will diagnose your condition and work with you to develop an appropriate treatment plan. Your doctor may perform several diagnostic tests to see if you have LM. With treatment, the goal is to relieve your symptoms and to try to stop the cancer cells.
