Thibaut van Marcke
Title: Senior Vice President, Orlando Health Alabama Region; President, Baptist Health

Thibaut van Marcke serves as senior vice president of the Orlando Health Alabama Region and president of Baptist Health, a private, not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible care for the communities of Central Alabama. The Baptist Health system of care includes five acute care hospitals, a free-standing emergency room and a comprehensive care network through Baptist Health Medical Group.
Thibaut was instrumental in leading Orlando Health’s acquisition of Baptist Health in 2024 and has since expanded its employed medical group, led extensive facility improvements and executed several additional strategic acquisitions.
Previously, Thibaut served as senior vice president of the Orlando Health South Florida Region and president of Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, where he oversaw strategic plans and financial initiatives, while fostering an award-winning positive workforce culture.
Before joining Orlando Health in 2016, Thibaut spent 14 years working for Hospital Corporation of America where he served in progressive leadership roles.
Thibaut earned a bachelor’s from the University of Richmond in Virginia and a master’s from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He is active in the community and serves on the boards of the Alabama Hospital Association and the Birmingham Business Alliance.
