Gynecologic Oncologists

Gynecologic oncologists specialize in caring for cancer that affects a woman’s reproductive organs, receiving training in obstetrics/gynecology and advanced fellowship training in gynecologic oncology.

Our gynecologic oncologist can perform advanced surgeries to remove cancer from your organs, while leaving as much healthy tissue in place as possible.

Radiation Oncologists

Radiation oncologists undergo specialized training to deliver targeted radiation therapy for cancer. A radiation oncologist designs radiation therapy to destroy cancer cells, maintain as many healthy cells as possible, and reduce your chance of recurrence. Our radiation oncologists are able to offer services at several locations throughout Central Florida, including Downtown Orlando, Clermont, Lake Mary and Ocoee.

Kim Morrison

Kim Morrison


Kim Morrison is an oncology nurse and nurse practitioner (APRN) at Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center, with more than 25 years of experience. In 1996, she became Orlando Health's first advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in oncology.

Kim has more than 12 years of experience in medical oncology, as well as four years of experience in radiation oncology and has been in surgical gynecology since 2011.
Kim earned her bachelor of science in nursing and her master of nursing from the University of Florida. Currently, she is an advanced oncology certified nurse

In January 2011, Kim took on the role of acupuncture physician (AP), offering acupuncture and energy medicine to oncology patients, their families and
team members.


Shannon Orlando


Shannon Orlando, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with the Gynecologic Cancer Center and leads the Gynecologic Cancer Survivorship Clinic at Orlando Health UF Health
Cancer Center. She is certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Shannon completed a bachelor of science in nursing at University of South Florida, Tampa, after completing an associate’s degree in nursing at Valencia College and a
bachelor of arts in psychology at Rhode Island College. She went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing at South University in Savannah, Georgia.

Shannon has been with the Gynecologic Cancer Center since 2012. She performs physical assessments and patient evaluations, and coordinates with the collaborative care team to develop an individualized care plan for each patient. She initiates and manages treatment plans for women with gynecologic cancers and provides education
and support regarding treatment side effects.
